RETURNS AND
REFUNDS

We want you to be completely satisfied with your Deathwings purchase. This policy explains how to return products and request refunds in accordance with UK consumer law.

1. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER UK LAW

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to:

  • Cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your products for any reason (no explanation required)
  • Return faulty or misdescribed products for repair, replacement, or refund
  • Receive products that are as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality

These statutory rights are not affected by our returns policy.

2. RETURNS PROCESS

2.1 IMPORTANT: Authorise All Returns First

DO NOT send returns to the address on our website.

All returns must be authorised in advance. Here's how:

STEP 1: Contact us

Email: returns@wearedeathwings.com

Provide:

  • Order number
  • Product(s) you wish to return
  • Reason for return
  • Photos (if faulty or damaged)

STEP 2: Wait for authorisation

We will respond within 24 hours with:

  • Return authorisation
  • Return shipping address
  • Instructions

STEP 3: Ship your return

  • Pack items securely in original packaging (if possible)
  • Include your order number
  • Get proof of postage
  • Ship to the address we provide (NOT the website address)

STEP 4: Receive your refund

Refunds are processed within 5 business days of receiving your return.

3. RETURN CONDITIONS

3.1 Items Eligible for Return

To qualify for a refund, returned items must be:

  • Unworn and unused (with tags attached if applicable)
  • In original packaging (where possible)
  • In resaleable condition
  • Returned within 14 days of receipt (for change-of-mind returns)

3.2 Items NOT Eligible for Return

The following cannot be returned for hygiene and safety reasons:

  • Items that have been worn, washed, or altered
  • Items without tags or in damaged packaging (unless faulty)
  • Items marked as "final sale" or "non-returnable" at time of purchase

4. REFUND PROCESS

4.1 How Refunds Work

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • Approved returns: Refund issued within 5 business days
  • Refund method: Original payment method (credit/debit card)
  • Refund amount: Full product price (see section 4.2 for shipping costs)

You will receive an email confirmation when your refund is processed.

4.2 Shipping Costs

Change of mind returns:

  • You are responsible for return shipping costs
  • Original shipping costs are NOT refunded

Faulty or incorrect items:

  • We cover return shipping costs
  • Original shipping costs are refunded in full
  • We will provide a prepaid return label or reimburse your shipping costs

4.3 Refund Timeframes

  • Refund processed: Within 5 business days of receiving your return
  • Refund appears in your account: 3-5 business days (depending on your bank)

5. FAULTY OR INCORRECT ITEMS

If you receive a faulty, damaged, or incorrect item:

STEP 1: Contact us immediately

Email: returns@wearedeathwings.com

Provide:

  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photos of the fault or incorrect item

STEP 2: We'll resolve it

We will offer one of the following:

  • Replacement (sent free of charge)
  • Full refund (including original shipping costs)
  • Partial refund (if you prefer to keep a slightly faulty item)

You will NOT be charged for return shipping on faulty or incorrect items.

6. EXCHANGES

We do not currently offer direct exchanges.

If you need a different size or product:

  1. Return your original item for a refund (following the process above)
  2. Place a new order on our website

This ensures you receive your replacement as quickly as possible.

7. PRE-ORDER CANCELLATIONS

7.1 Before Dispatch

You can cancel your pre-order at any time before your order ships by emailing hello@wearedeathwings.com. We will issue a full refund (including shipping costs).

7.2 After Dispatch

Once your pre-order has shipped, standard returns policy applies (14-day return period from receipt).

8. LOST OR DAMAGED IN TRANSIT

If your order is lost or damaged during shipping:

STEP 1: Contact us

Email: hello@wearedeathwings.com within 48 hours of delivery (or expected delivery date if lost)

STEP 2: Provide details

  • Order number
  • Tracking number (if available)
  • Photos of damage (if applicable)

STEP 3: We'll resolve it

  • Lost parcels: Full refund or replacement
  • Damaged in transit: Replacement or full refund (including shipping)

We will handle claims with the shipping carrier on your behalf.

9. REFUND DENIALS

We reserve the right to refuse a refund if:

  • Items are returned without prior authorisation
  • Items are not in resaleable condition (worn, washed, damaged, or missing tags)
  • Return is made outside the 14-day return window (except for faulty items)
  • Items were marked as non-returnable at time of purchase

If your refund is denied, we will contact you with an explanation and return your items to you (you may be charged return shipping costs).

10. NON-DELIVERY

If you do not receive your order:

STEP 1: Check tracking

Check your shipping confirmation email for tracking information. Most "non-delivery" issues are resolved by checking with Royal Mail or neighbors.

STEP 2: Contact us

If tracking shows delivered but you haven't received your order, contact us at hello@wearedeathwings.com within 7 days.

STEP 3: Investigation

We will:

  • Contact the shipping carrier
  • Investigate the delivery
  • Issue a replacement or full refund if the parcel cannot be located

Please note:

If you provided an incorrect shipping address, we cannot be held responsible for non-delivery. Additional charges may apply to reship to a correct address.

11. MULTIPLE RETURNS

We reserve the right to refuse service to customers who abuse our returns policy, including:

  • Excessive returns (e.g., returning most or all orders)
  • Returning worn or used items
  • Fraudulent return claims
